As such, we are looking for commercially focussed, customer-oriented and technically competent individuals, used to working in an agile environment who want to be a part of building something from the ground up with us. We are seeking to extend our core engineering team with a Technical Feature Product Developer responsible for working with the development teams to capture new business requirements, administer the backlog of features and manage regular Agile ceremonies to assist the effective project management of Infrastructure teams. Responsibilities:

  • Conducting detailed business and technical analysis; writing business requirements, breaking down into epics and stories with respect to public cloud infrastructure
  • Areas of focus within the team include; Connectivity and Messaging patterns ( Cockroach/Kafka ), EKS/Kubernetes containers, CI/CD toolchain development, AWS environment deployment, testing and automation
  • Act as subject matter expert in the core engineering domain specifically with regard to AWS public cloud infrastructure development, deployment and management
  • Plan and prioritise the backlog and work for the team, work with all internal and external stakeholders, facilitate agile ceremonies and processes to maintain a high-performance team and proliferate positive team culture
  • Estimate and measure squad capacity/velocity in order to develop forward plans for new development activities and produce regular reports for management feedback
Skills / Experience

  • Strong technical and analytical skills with strong critical thinking and problem-solving background in engineering or related disciplines
  • Expertise with AWS public cloud, particularly at the infrastructure layer, supporting a variety of application layer customers
  • Familiarity with cloud native CI/CD pipelines, ( Artifactory, Spinnaker, Atlassian, Cloudbees )
  • Understanding of how to operate within a highly regulated and controlled industry an advantage, for example recent banking or financial service or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
