We are expanding our UK team and are seeking a Technical Functional Consultant with strong D365 F&O expertise to support our data migration projects. This is a critical hybrid role requiring both deep functional knowledge of D365 and technical proficiency with SQL and data analysis. The successful candidate will help our team and the customer understand how data objects relate to business processes, enabling accurate and effective data migration.

Working Hours: Starting at 12:00pm, 8 hours flexible with breaks.

The Role

As a D365 F&O Technical Functional Consultant at DataMC, you will bridge the gap between business and technical teams. You will also combine functional expertise in Finance and Manufacturing modules with hands-on SQL and data understanding to support end-to-end data migration activities.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the subject matter expert on D365 F&O functionality, particularly across Finance and Manufacturing modules

Analyse and explain the structure, dependencies, and business relevance of key D365 objects (e.g. vendors, fixed assets, purchase orders, production orders, ledger entries)

Translate functional requirements into actionable technical insights to assist developers and analysts

Write and review SQL queries to validate data extracts and object relationships

Support the identification, mapping, transformation, and validation of data from legacy systems

Run workshops with client SMEs to validate object usage and confirm target configurations

Provide functional context to internal teams and customers for effective issue resolution

Advise on best practices for configuration and usage to maintain data integrity post-migration

Work independently on tasks, while also collaborating effectively in a fast-paced project team

Essential Skills

Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (especially Finance and Manufacturing modules)

Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query and interpret data directly

Experience supporting or delivering ERP data migration projects

Ability to communicate complex system and data behaviour clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Understanding of core business entities such as GL accounts, vendors/customers, inventory, etc.

Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

Exposure to the Heavy Equipment sector or related domains (e.g. capital equipment sales, servicing, rentals)

Experience with large-scale ERP cutovers or legacy system replacements

Pay: 70,000.00-85,000.00 per year
