An exciting opportunity has become available for a Therapy Assistant Practitioner (or Technical Instructor?) to join our supportive and enthusiastic Pelvic Health Therapy Team in providing essential assessment and treatment for perinatal patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic girdle pain.
We are a small team of specialist physiotherapists treating pelvic dysfunction in men and women in an outpatient setting at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport. We also support and work closely with our midwifery, obstetric, gynaecology, colorectal, urology, pain, and continence nurse colleagues.
Main duties of the job
As the successful post-holder, you will provide antenatal information to women accessing health services via the midwifery team and will be involved in different types of care delivery in order to meet patients' individual needs, for example, webinars, group sessions and one-to-one assessment.
You will support the team by playing a key role in providing postnatal advice and support the physiotherapists with outpatient clinics for both obstetrics and gynaecology patients which may involve individual or group therapy. In addition to this, some administrative and chaperone duties will be required.
Core working hours are 8.00am-4.00pm weekdays, but flexibility can be discussed.
