Aulds is a well-established, family-run bakery producing delicious, day-fresh products at our Greenock site and we've been bringing smiles to customers' faces for over 120 years. From award-winning fresh baking to frozen treats shipped across the UK and Europe from our BRC-approved site, quality is at the heart of everything we do.

We're now looking for a Technical Manager to join our senior management team. This is a key role for someone with a strong technical background who thrives in a dynamic food production environment and wants to make a daily impact on product quality, safety, and innovation.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Leading food safety, quality assurance, hygiene systems, and process control in line with BRC and SALSA requirements.

Supporting new product development with technical insight and practical implementation. Reviewing and approving new ingredients and suppliers in collaboration with procurement.

Ensuring hygiene and food safety standards across our production site, retail outlets, and delivery operations.

Maintaining clear documentation to support audit readiness and traceability.

Liaising with external regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers.

Working closely with teams across the business, including support from our on-site microbiology lab and Inchinnan technical team.

What We're Looking For:

?Degree in a Biological Science (or equivalent).

?Minimum 4 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.

?Minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent) HACCP qualification.

?Formal internal auditing qualification.

?Strong working knowledge of BRC standards and food hygiene regulations.

?Strong IT and systems skills (e.g., Excel).

?A great communicator and team player with a can-do, hands-on approach.
