About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead our workshop's technical operations and drive continuous improvement. You'll oversee current systems and processes, introduce new efficiencies and ensure the highest standards of productivity, quality and compliance. This role is key to the success of our workshop and wider production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead, develop, and support a growing team of technical and production managers.
Maintain and improve workshop productivity and efficiency, working closely with other departments.
Develop and optimise systems and processes to increase output.
Manage budgets responsibly and seek opportunities to reduce costs.
Attend weekly departmental meetings and collaborate with the wider management team to meet SLAs.
Ensure all work meets warranty, safety, and environmental standards, including risk assessments and COSHH.
Support diagnostic work, vehicle inspections, and estimate compilation.
Monitor work quality to ensure the highest standards.
Oversee accurate completion of warranty documentation.
Work with the Parts team to manage stock levels and warranty returns.
Partner with People & Recruitment to drive engagement, support talent retention, and address performance.

What We're Looking For
Strong technical background with extensive hands-on experience.
Knowledge of Pathfinder diagnostic software and Topix systems (advantageous).
Experience in a large-scale automotive or manufacturing environment.
Creative, practical problem-solving approach with a focus on delivery.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices.
Reliable, accountable, and able to work across multiple priorities.
Proven capability to coach, develop, and review team performance.
