is a property development and construction company specialising in the delivery of residential apartment blocks for the private rental sector.

We deliver both premium and affordable housing throughout the North West of England. Taking on a variety of projects such as small refurbishments, converting commercial buildings to residential and new build developments.

Operating from our base in Crosby, Merseyside and with active sites throughout the region. This is an opportunity for the right person to join a fast-growing and ambitious property development company.

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Manager to join a fast-growing developer and construction company based in Liverpool.

The Technical Manager will be based in our Crosby Headquarters and will be responsible for delivering a number of sites across Merseyside.

Skills



HNC/HND or degree in Construction, Architectural Technology, or similar discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience in technical or design management within residential development or main contracting. Strong understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and CDM Regulations. Proven experience managing pre-construction coordination and site handover documentation. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with site and consultant teams. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities



Lead the pre-construction process from design freeze to site start, coordinating drawings, specifications, and technical submissions. Review design information for buildability, value engineering, and compliance with Building Regulations and planning conditions. Liaise with consultants, structural engineers, M&E designers, and local authorities to discharge technical and pre-commencement conditions. Manage document control and version tracking across drawings, schedules, and consultant deliverables. Support the commercial and construction teams by ensuring accurate technical information for tender and procurement stages. Prepare detailed technical packages for site handover including Employer's Requirements, design risk assessments, warranties, and as-built documentation. Conduct technical reviews during construction, ensuring information aligns with approved drawings and specification. Attend project design and coordination meetings, providing clear direction on technical standards and expectations. Oversee the collation and delivery of site handover packs including Operation & Maintenance manuals, Health & Safety Files, and compliance certification. Ensure all projects meet APG Build's quality standards and are handed over in full technical compliance.
