About the Role



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Technical Manager

to join our team and oversee the technical and quality assurance aspects of our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, including BRCGS, and will play a key role in maintaining and improving our food safety and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of all site-based technical and quality systems in line with BRCGS and customer standards. Conduct routine factory audits and inspections to ensure hygiene, safety, and quality standards are upheld. Take responsibility for day-to-day technical compliance, including paperwork review, traceability, and stock handling practices. Lead internal training and development to ensure staff understand and comply with relevant standards and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records relating to production, temperature controls, and factory processes. Ensure calibration, verification, and performance checks of relevant factory equipment are carried out according to schedule. Act as the main point of contact for all technical queries, audits, and inspections from external bodies. Collaborate with production and management teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve any non-conformances. Support in the development and maintenance of product specifications and assist with sample submissions and label reviews.

Skills & Experience



Previous experience in a technical or quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry. Strong working knowledge of BRCGS standards and food safety legislation. Experience conducting internal audits and managing external inspections. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Confident in communicating and training staff across various levels. Proficiency with documentation, traceability systems, and basic technical reporting. HACCP Level 3 (minimum) and Food Safety qualifications preferred.

Pay: 32,000.00-41,600.00 per year
