Technical Manager - Nairn

Are you passionate about food quality, safety, and innovation? Grahams's the Family Dairy are looking to recruit a Technical Manager to lead our technical operations and uphold the highest standards across our expanding range of dairy products.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you'll play a key role in ensuring our products meet rigorous quality and safety standards. You'll oversee technical processes, lead audits, and support our Quality team in maintaining and developing our Quality Management Systems. This is a hands-on role with real impact across our retail and middle-ground business.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop site hygiene procedures and internal audit systems Act as HACCP Team Leader and ensure food safety compliance Provide technical support during external audits and customer visits Coordinate lab testing and communicate results to site management Maintain BRC accreditation and ensure customer standards (e.g. TFMS) are met Manage supplier approval systems and oversee lab operations Support staff training and lead Quality KPI/Review meetings Drive continuous improvement and procedural development Represent the business at sampling panels, conferences, and benchmarking events
Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, and bring proven experience in a technical or quality role within the food or dairy industry.

A strong working knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP principles, and food safety regulations is essential.
