Job Description

Fred. Olsen Renewables is a renowned developer, owner, and operator in renewable energy with history back to the mid-1990s. We are currently operating 12 wind farms with a total of 342 turbines in UK, Sweden and Norway. In addition, we have an extensive portfolio of projects in the development phase in these countries and in Italy.

Fred. Olsen Renewables is seeking a Technical Manager to support the development team with wind technical expertise across various renewable energy projects, including greenfield sites, repowering, and sites progressing to construction.

Analysis & Assessments

Conduct and oversee wind resource assessments, layout optimization, yield, and site condition analyses. Manage third-party consultants for analytical services. Evaluate and communicate findings to the wider team.

Collaboration

Provide technical support and guidance to project managers and the wider team. Work with project managers, procurement, and external consultants through project development stages.

Methods

Keep up-to-date with industry tools, methods, and assumptions. Refine technical methodologies and implement best practices in quality control and reporting.

Assets

Manage Fred. Olsen Renewables' LiDAR/met mast assets. Lead wind measurement campaigns ensuring collection of reliable, bankable data.

Other Duties

Perform additional duties as required, adapting to changes in legislation, technology, or policy with appropriate training. Maintain professionalism, cooperation, and flexibility within the role and company.
