JOB SUMMARY

Central and hands-on role overseeing all stages of the Design and Manufacture process required for the successful offsite production of Building Regs compliant domestic homes. In addition to being responsible for the creation of all drawing and written information relating to home manufacture and compliance, this role is pivotal in ensuring the successful collaboration of internal and external teams to deliver project objectives.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Project manage all stages of the process (RIBA stages 0-7), utilising management and planning tools where necessary. Liaise with internal and external team members as required to ensure clear communication and efficient working practices at all times. Co-ordinate input from external parties including building inspection. Creation and management of all information packs required for home design approval, compliance, materials procurement and manufacture. Ensure all documentation relating to compliance is completed and adhered to at all times. Brief procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure clarity of instruction and that correct procedures are followed. Meticulously monitor the offsite manufacture of homes at a detailed level to ensure all instructions are implemented correctly. Work at all times in accordance with company processes, and assist in the development of internal protocols to support the departments commitment to excellent service through continuous improvement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Architectural or similar qualification(s) relating to Building Regulation compliant residential building design Ideally (not essential) project management-based qualification

Experience and Knowledge

Enthusiastic and self-motivated, willing to put in extra effort when required. A proactive mind set. Meticulous attention to detail. Passion to ensure that all written and drawing based instructions are understood by others. Creative problem-solving skills combined with a lateral approach. Experience of offsite construction methods highly desirable. Adaptability to understand new manufacturing processes and appreciation of how important efficiency of these is. Organised and systematic methods, good planning skills. An excellent team player, with good communicational/listening skills and a sense of humour. Good practical awareness stemming from a curiosity to understand how things are constructed. Proven user of AutoDesk Revit and/or AutoCAD. Good general IT skills, competence with Microsoft Office. Good self-presentation skills, polite and well mannered. Experience in BOPAS accreditation process would be a significant advantage.
