Job Description
Assan Panel is one of the 22 group companies of Kibar Holding and started to operate in 1990 in Istanbul, Turkey. Assan Panel is the leader of the sandwich panel market in Turkey and the largest sandwich panel producer in the Middle East, exporting to more than 85 countries with the production facilities in Turkey, Jordan, Azerbaijan, United Kingdom and sales offices in Hungary. Assan Panel is moving forward to become a global player in the sector. Since 2010, it has achieved a record capacity utilization rate of 85%, which is uncommon in Turkey and the rest of the world, with sales capacity of 24,000,000 m2 of output.
Assan Panel also has polyurethane systems business unit under AssanChem as well as AFG Steel company providing EPCM solutions in building envelope, roof top solar plants, cold rooms and construction of industrial buildings.
We are looking for a Technical Manager; this role is primarily focused on supporting and guiding the UK sales team through strong technical expertise.

Qualifications
Minimum 4-5 years' experience in the roof & cladding sector. Must be conversant in the latest Part L building regulations. Knowledge of fire resistance/protection requirements in line with current and emerging standards These are bonuses: Specific experience with mineral wool panels Experience with products of other companies in the sector Contacts within the 'ABI' Driving license (able to visit architects for design meetings and visit site for training and warranty inspections). Extensive travel will be required across the UK, Ireland, and Turkey, so comfort with frequent travel is essential. Team Player with a "can do attitude" and excellent communication skills.
Working closely with the sales team.
Reading drawings and doing take offs. To do span calculations, wind load, deadload, shear load & thermal calculations. According to UK fire regulations evaluating to Part L and boundary wall + compartmentation conditions. To product generic details for specification purposes in CAD, Adobe, MS Suite, etc. Evaluating steel warranties and their features and limitations. Writing NBS specifications for architects.
