Job Description


We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a Technical Officer, on a 12-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: xc2xa318.24-xc2xa324.17/HourResponsibilities:

  • Manage all technical aspects of housing grants/loans processes from enquiry to completion.
  • Conduct home visits to assess adaptation needs and provide tailored advice and technical solutions.
  • Prepare detailed specifications, plans, and costings in accordance with regulations and standards (e.g. Housing Health and Safety Rating System, Decent Homes Standard, Disabled Facilities Grant).
  • Monitor contractor performance, inspect works, and ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
  • Liaise with clients, Occupational Therapists, and other stakeholders to ensure needs are fully addressed.
Qualifications:
  • A relevant technical qualification in building, surveying, construction, or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent).
Experience:
  • Experience in building surveying, property maintenance, or delivering housing adaptations.
  • Experience producing technical drawings, specifications, and costings.
Requirements:
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
