A respected and growing business in the Mid Ulster region is looking for a

Technical Officer

to join their team and support the Technical Manager in managing critical compliance functions across multiple sites.

About the Role:

You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing food safety protocols and health & safety systems to ensure our business operates safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across five operational locations, providing variety and scope to develop your expertise.

What You'll Do:

Assist the Technical Manager in implementing and maintaining robust food safety management systems, including routine audits and inspections. Monitor compliance with all relevant food safety legislation, standards, and internal policies across all sites. Support the investigation of any food safety incidents or non-compliances, driving corrective actions to resolution. Play a vital role in promoting a positive health and safety culture by assisting with risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations. Liaise with operational teams and site managers to ensure day-to-day adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Deliver training and awareness programs for staff on food safety and health & safety best practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports to support continuous improvement and regulatory inspections. Travel regularly to all sites (four in Mid Ulster and one in Campsie) to provide hands-on support and ensure consistency.

Who You Are:

You hold a relevant third-level qualification in food safety, environmental health, quality assurance, or health & safety. You have a clean, full driving licence and are comfortable travelling across multiple sites. You bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You communicate clearly and confidently, building positive relationships across teams. Experience in a food-related or manufacturing environment is highly desirable but not essential.
