The Faculty of Business and Creative Industries is one of three faculties here at the University of South Wales, spread across 3 campuses in Newport, Treforest and Cardiff. Our Creative Industries courses are based in our purpose-built facility, Atrium, in Central Cardiff where over 2,500 students study a wide variety of creative courses from Fashion to Games, Music, Photography and Film.
Based mainly at the Cardiff campus, this role will provide you with an opportunity to utilise a range of technical skills to support our courses and our students.
The Technical Officer role requires a strong knowledge of a range of technical equipment relating to Photography, Sound, Film and Lighting, as well as an understanding of technical resources such as Photography Studios, Photography Infinity Cove, Photography Print/scanning facilities etc. Strong teamworking, IT and customer service skills are essential for this post, as is an ability to be flexible and to learn new equipment.
This is a part time 24hours (0.64fte), Fixed Term for 2 years post working both on campus and on location where appropriate.
