Prime Video is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to help Amazon’s Global Live Sports Production team. In this role you will work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and deliver projects and initiatives for Prime Video. You will use your technical expertise to manage project life cycles and establish effective communication across departments and stakeholders. You will lead live production efforts on cross functional projects like ad insertion, cloud-based production and master control workflows including video playback, asset management, and signal acquisitions and delivery. You will support our content and operational goals by leading live production’s technical projects, as we drive innovation on behalf of customers. You will collaborate with internal partners such as Prime Video’s core Product and X-Ray teams, as well as our Technical Integration Management, and Live Ops department. You will establish best practices to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus constraints. You will manage complex projects, assign responsibilities, manage project schedules, and identify appropriate resources needed to execute objectives and meet project milestones. To be successful, you will need to thrive on a diverse team, think strategically, be detailed driven, understand systems architect and workflows, and have excellent problem-solving abilities

You will implement systems, acquire new skills, tools, and processes to successfully deliver multiple projects in a high velocity environment.

Key job responsibilities
Oversee day to day workflows of our live event’s technical operations within Europe.
Work closely with production teams across the tendering and launch process of new European sports properties.
Extensive internal stakeholder management, timeline, and deliverables management.
Create and build out process driven workflows and documentation for the team globally.
Create and maintain technical workflow documentation for the team globally.
Creation of best practice and tips and tricks documentation.
About the team Prime Video Live Sports Production Technical Operations (PVLS Tech Ops) is a group within Prime Video. Our primary goal is to support global live sports productions with technical solutions and architecture that makes our production partners more successful. We strive to remove technical roadblocks while pushing technology to new limits. Our main focus is to build infrastructure that helps Prime Video Live Sports Production bring their vision to life. Audio and Video engineering experience and/or broadcast engineering experience.
Experience managing and conducting video and audio quality testing and analysis.
Experience defining technical and production roadmaps and requirements.
Relationships with key vendors across the global within the broadcast industry.
Ability to run a tender process and negotiate business terms with vendors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to lead meetings and clearly communicate live production workflows.
