Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:



Initally 3 months ftc

To Assist in the day to day running of the can lines operating seamers, palletisers slitters. Adhering to customer requirements within the manufacturing process recording relevant information on time and quality sheets for audit purposes, carrying out required checks in accordance with our quality processes and ISO standards.

The ideal Candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and previous experience working with machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:



Pallitizer operator, effectively load correct amount of cans and layers per pallet ensuring customer designs not mixed and using correct labelling and administration. Seamer operator - effectively load correct rings and Ends into hopper to correct bill of material, clear wrecks if required - generally assist line crew with running of line including housekeeping duties. Flex line Operator - Ensure correct materials/customer specifications are met- load/wrap and handle application. Ensure Production equipment/areas and workstations are clean, tidy at all times, floor scrubber used in departments with painted floo Quality - reworking of defective material, cleaning, doping, sorting and repairing. Communicate any issues to direct supervisor as and when they happen Assist in production areas as directed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment is

essential

. Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Proven experience in a

manufacturing or factory environment

, ideally within a high-speed production setting

essential



Hands-on experience operating and maintaining

mechanical equipment

such as seamers, palletisers, slitters, and flex lines.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

Numerate & literate

GCSEs or equivalent

including Maths and English 4/C (required).

Technical or vocational qualifications

in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields (desirable).

On-the-job training or certifications in

machine operation, health & safety, or quality assurance

(advantageous).

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: Up to 29,767.20 per year
