Technical & Product Development Manager

Reporting to:

Sales Director

The Company



Instrument Technology Ltd (ITL Vacuum) is a UK based business, manufacturing, sourcing and Supplying ranges of Standard and Non-Standard Vacuum components, fittings and vessels within a range of industries utilising vacuum techniques. This includes Semi-Conductor, Research, Energy, Medical and general Industrial vacuum users.

Scope



You will be expected to manage the drawing office and technical assessment of all enquiries received. Oversee all new jobs, to ensure correct assessment is being reviewed for production release. Working with production and purchasing to assess products and suitability to manufacture or outsource.

Responsibilities



You will be expected to manage your team and work with relevant Departmental Managers across the company to:



Assessment of customer enquiries, with preparation of quotes. Working alongside purchasing to identifying suitable suppliers. Understanding production loadings and techniques, to issue information to sales for quoting.

Preparation of production documentation, billing and routing new non-standard items.

Checking and sign off on all requested technical drawing reviews.

Working with planning and production on custom projects, ensuring timely release, with thorough assessment of customer requirements.

Liaising with the operation team to implement any highlighted improvement requirements.

Technical review of all standard products and assessment of potential outsourcing.

Supporting sales office with technical assistance.

Ensure your area of responsibility is in compliance with H&S standards.

The Person



A minimum of 5 years working experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Excellent communicator to all levels of the business with an expected professional level of conduct at all times.

Strong MS Office skills.

Strong Organisational skills.

Strong knowledge and experience of ERP/MRP systems.

Attention to detail to drive a "right first time" mentality and high levels of quality.

The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.

Ability to plan, oversea and deliver projects to a satisfactory conclusion.

Ability to work as part of a team and motivate others.

Working hours



Mon-Thu: 8.00 am to 5.00pm

Fri: 8.00 am to 4.00pm

Full time, Permanent

Hastings, Sussex

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
