We are hiring a Technical Product Owner to take full ownership of the Client Exit Platform within a Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). This role is part of a high-impact, multi-year transformation programme focusing on modernising key client lifecycle platforms.



You will operate at the connection of technology and business, engaging with a globally distributed team and working closely with senior stakeholders in London. This is a strategic role requiring product leadership, technical fluency, and a forward-looking mindset to shape and deliver a scalable and robust exit management solution.



The team supports three major platforms:



Client Onboarding.

Client Exit/Offboarding

RDS (Reference Data System)


The transformation involves architectural redesign, component refactoring, and new capability build-out using a modern tech stack for the Client Exit/Offboarding Platform



The Role:



Own the Client Exit product lifecycle: Define vision, roadmap, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

Translate business objectives into clear epics and user stories, refining with development teams.

Work closely with architects and engineers to assess design options, challenge

Align regularly with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Front Office teams across regions.

Shape scalable features to address regional nuances, exit triggers, remediation flows, client types (e.g. retail vs institutional), and risk categories.

Monitor platform performance, refine KPIs, and iterate based on usage and feedback.

Ensure transparency and traceability of decisions, risks, and deliverables across sprint cycles.

Ensure platform capabilities meet global and local obligations (e.g. AML, KYC, MiFID, GDPR).


Key Skills and Experience:



To succeed in this role, you will need:



Banking / Financial Services background: Ideally from CIB or large-scale regulatory / compliance programmes (e.g. KYC, AML, FATCA, Client Offboarding, CLM platforms).

Demonstrated track record owning complex platform products with multiple stakeholder groups.

Solid grasp of systems architecture, integration models, microservices, APIs, and front/back-end design - especially with Java and JavaScript-based stacks.

Experience with onboarding, due diligence, or offboarding processes. Ability to distinguish client types and apply contextually relevant solutions.

Understanding of obligations around client exit, retention policies, audit traceability, and regulatory reporting.

Skilled at breaking down complex problems and presenting clear, structured solutions.

Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and distributed tech teams. Can confidently challenge and influence across levels.

Experienced working in Agile teams, with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and DevOps workflows.


Preferred Skills / Tools



Experience with platforms such as Fenergo, Pega, Appian, or Salesforce CLM.

Prior involvement in large-scale system transformation or platform modernisation projects.

Exposure to global delivery models with teams across EMEA, APAC, and offshore hubs.

Knowledge of data governance, reference data, or document management in a regulated environment.
