To support this next stage of growth, we're strengthening our production systems and working towards SALSA/BRC Start accreditation.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Technical Production Lead -- someone who knows chilled-food manufacturing, thrives on process improvement, and takes pride in food safety and consistency.
You'll work alongside our established Production Manager and Development Chef to introduce structure, documentation, and compliance across all areas of the kitchen -- helping a passionate team reach accredited standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accreditation: Lead preparation for SALSA/BRC Start certification -- documentation, traceability, training, and audit readiness.
Product Integrity: Build and manage HACCP and CCP controls to prevent contamination.
Process Control: Design and implement SOPs for sandwich/salad lines, labelling, and dispatch.
Yield & Portion: Introduce portion and yield control systems; train the team on gram-accurate assembly.
People: Coach and upskill production staff; embed best practice and accountability.
New Product Development: Collaborate on R&D projects including our upcoming in-house pastrami range and new retail SKUs.
Facilities: Maintain hygiene, temperature logs, and equipment compliance.
Growth: Support scaling for new supply contracts and co-packing opportunities.
About You
Experience in a food production or chilled manufacturing environment (sandwiches, salads, ready-meals, or similar).
Solid knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and quality systems.
Practical understanding of SALSA or BRC Start standards.
Strong communication and training skills -- able to bring people with you.
Hands-on approach; thrives in a busy kitchen environment.
Passion for doing things properly, with a balance of excellence and humility.
