What you will be doing...

This is an exciting time to join Jet2.com in what is our busiest year ever! As our Technical Publications Author you will play an essential role in the production and publishing of manuals within our Flight Operations Team.

What will you do in the role?

As our Technical Publications Author, you will be required to edit, produce and publish Jet2.com Flight Operations manuals for use within the Flight Operations environment and onboard Jet2.com aircraft and simulators, as well as create clear and concise material, taking care of editing and proofreading tasks. You will also;

  • Use various Boeing and Airbus OEM toolsets as well as third party software for the production of these manuals.
  • Assist with monitoring changes to EASA/CAA and other regulatory authorities\' requirements.
  • Ensure all Flight Operations manuals comply with the requirements of the Regulatory Authority (EASA/CAA) and Aircraft manufacturers.
  • Collate and verify all pertinent information for inclusion in the relevant Flight Operations manuals.
  • Collaborate with other technical departments to ensure all Flight Operations publications are integrated and complimentary with all areas of the business.
  • Work closely with the Publishing Team to ensure the appropriate distribution of any updated manuals to the relevant colleagues.
  • Act as a point of contact for any Flight Operations manuals related queries, facilitating replies and solutions as necessary and prioritising where needed.
What are the key skills / experience you\'ll already have?

The ideal candidate will have proven track record of working within the Airline industry with a knowledge of EASA and CAA regulations, along with knowledge of commercial aircraft and SOPs.
You will also:
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Posses the ability to turn around tasks at short notice while maintaining accuracy and quality of output.
  • Have an adaptable, flexible attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment delivering to tight timescales.
  • You will have strong English and grammar skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe is desired.
