Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Technical Safety and Assurance Manager, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the delivery of quality data into the company\'s Barrier Model and coordinate this through the various Technical Authorities and Business Process Owners across the company\'s operation.
  • Offer independent advice to Senior Operations Leaders, HSSE Leaders and the CEO on the
health of the company\'s Barrier Model and ensuring that the cumulative risk of us operations are understood and managed.
  • Act as Business Process Manager for all Technical Safety Processes within the company\'s Management System.
  • Provide Technical Safety support to our Operated, Operated By Other (OBO) Assets and project portfolio.
  • Participation/lead in formal safety workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA.
  • Participate in assurance activities in line with the company\'s assurance plan.
  • Lead Incident Investigations as required.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience of Technical Safety and Loss Prevention
  • Good understanding of formal safety workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL / LOPA.
  • Experience in executing Technical Safety & Risk studies, including QRA and risk-based design.
  • Good understanding of safety engineering design including, but not limited to, Active and Passive Fire Protection, Blast Protection, F&G Systems, Hazardous Area Classification and development of design drawings
  • Ability to support other technical disciplines.
  • Good understanding of Functional Safety.
  • Good working knowledge of Human factors.
  • Working knowledge of risk management techniques.
  • Experienced Auditor.
  • Proven Incident Investigation skills.
  • Good understanding of Synergi, Power BI or any other software to manage barrier models or MAH Bowties.
  • MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience
  • Chartered Engineer or recognised equivalent
  • Good communication in written and spoken forms
  • Audit and incident investigation experience
  • Project management (basic)
