Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Technical Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team based in Burton upon Trent.

This is a full-time, office-based role where you will be the first point of contact in the business for all technical sales enquiries.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have some technical knowledge along with sales experience to provide our customers with advice and support on a range of products such as gaskets, rubber mouldings, hoses and extrusions, for which a certain level of expertise is required.

Day-to-day responsibilities include taking calls, answering email enquiries in a timely and professional manner, preparing quotations and entering orders onto our in-house database.

The candidate will deal with customers from a diverse range of sectors including food and beverage, automotive, transportation and general manufacturing, offering both pre-and post-sales support.

You will also be responsible for working towards sales targets and establishing new customer relationships when the opportunities arise.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

There are no specific qualifications needed for the post but excellent written and spoken English is a requirement, along with knowledge of the technical aspects of gaskets, rubber mouldings and/or hoses.

The candidate will ideally have experience working in a general engineering or manufacturing setting.

GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English would be useful for the role, as there is a requirement for basic mathematical skills when quoting certain jobs.

Preferred Skills

You must be able to develop good working relationships with existing and new customers alike, which includes having excellent communication skills.
You will need to be well organised as you will be working in a busy office environment.
Problem-solving is an essential skill as there will be times when customers require our technical expertise on developing projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Office is a requirement but full training will be given on our in-house database.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-32,000.00 per year
