Our client is seeking a

Technical Sales Engineer

to join their team in Cookstown. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in electronics who is also confident in building customer relationships and supporting business growth.

The Role

This role offers the best of both worlds: working closely with experienced R&D engineers on product development, while also engaging directly with customers to provide tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships. Supporting the sales team to identify and secure new business opportunities. Working with clients to understand their requirements and propose suitable solutions. Acting as the link between sales and engineering teams on product development projects. Coordinating projects from concept through to delivery. Preparing quotations, managing leads via CRM systems, and following up with customers. Providing technical support across a diverse product range. Assisting with technical content for marketing (case studies, product literature, testimonials). Representing the company at trade shows, meetings, and events.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and personable individual with both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.

Essential criteria:

Solid understanding of electronics, electrical, or mechanical systems. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport. Organised and confident working with multiple teams. Basic computer skills (experience with Sage/CRM systems desirable).

Desirable criteria:

Previous experience in technical sales or a customer-facing engineering role. Ability to present technical information clearly to different audiences.
