Technical Sales Engineer- Scotland



Location:

Applications will be considered from candidates who can be based in Glasgow, Bellshill or Aberdeen. The role will be hybrid with an expectation of regular travel within Scotland to customer sites, branches and on occasion within wider UK/Ireland.

Salary:

Competitive plus company vehicle entitlement and a generous benefits package

Hours:

39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 16:00.

Sales Team



The Technical Sales Engineer will join our UK wide Sales team working with some of the country's biggest refrigeration customers. They will be involved in business development activity with existing and potential customers in the region, working on preliminary design and sale of industrial refrigeration and heating solutions, predominantly using natural refrigerants including ammonia and carbon dioxide.

The Role:



Key activities within the role of Technical Sales Engineer include but not limited to;

Develop and maintain customer relationships Develop technical solutions and sales estimates to meet customer requirements Develop understanding of sales tender submission and handover process Meeting and exceeding annual Sales margin targets
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have experience with preparation of drawings and calculations for projects but this is not essential.

The Candidate

:

The successful candidate will have an appropriate academic background and proven sales and business development experience in a similar role or industry.

The successful candidate must have:

Excellent technical and communication skills along with the ability to work to deadlines

Good organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload

Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of MS software including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred experience includes:

Technical sales experience including equipment selection and estimating

Understanding of synthetic and natural refrigeration system designs
