Job Summary

The role will incorporate industrial enquiries in both heating & coldchain sectors leading tender enquiries in these specialist areas. The role centralizes on the application of Co2 & HC natural refrigerant technologies. The role will also support commercial supermarket customers where required both directly and by assisting other team members.

The role will report directly into the Head Of Design to ensure all projects & goals are achieved.

Previous experience in the refrigeration industry is essential (minimum 7 years). Knowledge of hydronic systems and their application is desired. Applicants will have to demonstrate a passion to achieve the highest standards and to balance progressing the company's offer in the coldchain with technical support to the design and contracting team, as necessary.

Job role to include but not limited to:

Responsibility as design lead on client projects including attendance and representation of the company at all necessary design & sales meetings

Understanding and liaison with customers to define sales & design proposals.

Full in-depth site surveys and technical/condition evaluation of new and existing refrigeration systems.

Ability to research information and apply this knowledge to solve technical problems.

Work with suppliers & manufacturers to achieve specification requirements & detailed quotations.

Completing detailed designs and specifications including all supporting calculations such as load calculations for Heating and Cooling needs.

Provide on time and accurate quotations to the client or the clients agent.

Attend Value management meetings as required

Provide accurate costing to maximize potential of profitability of the company.

Prepare contract information for onward delivery by the contracts department

Ensuring that the design / proposal meets with all required standards under PED & EN378/ CDM/ FGas etc and all associated applicable regulations by law

Building and expanding client relationships

Manage the production and handover of the project package to our project managers and provide on-going technical support as required.

Key Skills:

Detailed Refrigeration Technical Knowledge

A full UK driving licence holder.

An understanding of timescales, time keeping and attention to detail.

Team player

Able to assist others within the design team and upskill their knowledge where appropriate.

IT skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office

Report writing & presentation skills

Health & Safety Awareness [in-house training provided].

Problem solver.

Must be highly motivated, organized, practical and methodical.

Representing the business with a professional and positive attitude, and professional appearance.

Desirables:

Industrial Refrigeration Experience

Industrial Heat Pump knowledge/experience.

Working Hours & Locations:

Office hours 08.30: 17.30.

Applicable Office Locations Gloucester, Lyford (near Oxford), New Malden

Travel to alternative office locations for Design & Costing reviews

National Travel for site surveys and meeting attendances.
