Role Summary
DeepRoot Urban Solutions is seeking a Technical Sales & Project Manager to join our UK team. This role combines sales growth, technical support, and project management to deliver DeepRoot's industry leading sustainable green infrastructure solutions across the UK. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone passionate about the environment, urban design and building lasting relationships. You will work with engineers, landscape architects, councils and contractors to create resilient cities that support healthy trees and manage stormwater effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow revenue through proactive sales efforts, building strong and enduring industry relationships.
- Develop and grow a robust and targeted project pipeline.
- Deliver compelling presentations and CPDs to technical and designs audiences
Specific Accountabilities
- Entrepreneurial spirit - energy, effort and targeted focus required in daily efforts to grow revenue
- Technical leadership and guidance, thought leadership and support to both stormwater and landscape sectors throughout the UK
- Prioritize and meticulously manage and follow up on 100+ projects in sales cycle while maintaining SalesForce CRM
- Develop strong relationships and provide presentations and project support to a broad range of stakeholders including stormwater engineers, landscape architects, contractors, policy makers, public realm departments and advocacy groups
- Provide on-site and remote preconstruction meetings and site observation as required
- Weekly and monthly review with your manager to evaluate and prioritise week, month and quarterly goals
- Uphold and maintain DeepRoot standards, professionalism and quality control
Daily/Weekly Responsibilities
- Project follow up and focus on winning Purchase Orders
- Identify, schedule and deliver presentations and CPDs
- Review and complete tasks due in SalesForce CRM
- Support incoming requests from customers - including contractors, landscape architects, councils and engineers
- Coordinate quote and project requests with internal team
- On-site installation support
- Attend and present at regional and national industry conferences and develop thought leadership position in SuDS
- Deliver weekly sales reports
- Engage and support marketing related efforts
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in technical or consultative sales (preferably in construction, landscape or water management sectors)
- Confident presentation skills with experience delivering CPDs and technical demonstrations
- Strong understanding of SuDS principles and green infrastructure
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficient with SalesForce CRM and Microsoft Office
- Current UK driving license and willingness to travel nationally
