Technical Sales Manager - Marketing & Clothing

Overview

Walsall Wood Tyre & Service is home to multiple growing brands including Clothing House and Bay38. We serve the automotive and trade industries with professional clothing supply, creative marketing services, and tailored customer support. This role bridges the two -- part technical advisor, part sales closer, part account manager.

We're looking for a

Technical Sales Manager

who can understand customer requirements, translate them into the right marketing or clothing solution, and close business confidently. You'll support client onboarding, drive new sales, and keep our services sharp and relevant to the needs of trade and automotive operators.

Key Responsibilities

Clothing Sales (Clothing House)



Help customers build uniform bundles tailored to their business size, budget, and trade type Quote and pitch confidently on garments, embroidery, print, and bundle logic Handle incoming enquiries from partners and garages Guide customers through bundle refreshes and re-orders Work with the on-site team to manage turnaround expectations

Marketing Sales (Bay38)



Discuss websites, content creation, brand development, and design with garage/trade customers Qualify inbound enquiries, deliver proposals, and handle objections professionally Build and maintain relationships with key clients and internal network partners Identify upsell opportunities for ongoing retainers or seasonal campaigns

General



Track all sales activity, leads, and conversions Maintain a strong presence in the workshop and trade environments we serve Feed insight back into the team to help sharpen our offer and creative output Represent the brand with energy, clarity, and attention to detail
Targets & KPIs

Monthly GP target across Clothing and Bay38 services Conversion rate from inbound enquiry to closed deal Client retention on uniform refresh and marketing retainers Turnaround time on quotes and proposals Weekly reporting and lead management discipline
Ideal Candidate

Sales experience in either clothing, branding, or trade-based environments Confident communicator who thrives on problem-solving Knows how to write a quote, guide a customer, and follow up without delay Understands quality and hospitality-driven delivery Willing to get stuck into the operation, digitising software and learning to use embroidery machine, pack and send orders. Not afraid to roll up sleeves and be physically present when needed (site visits, events, fulfilment input)

Pay: 28,000.00-45,000.00 per year
