As the Technical Senior Manager your job purpose is to



Devise and deliver strategies to mitigate or remedy technical risks/issues to ensure continuity of supply including raw material, analytical or process changes within the portfolio.

Manage the Technical Team ensuring they are aligned with global and regional business needs and objectives

Oversee technical operations and serve as the primary technical expert within the organisation.

Define and deliver an appropriate portfolio of technical projects to time, cost and in line with regulatory requirements.

Manage and prepare the budget, forecasting spends and adhere to it.

What you'll be doing



Leadership & People Development

Manage / Lead the Technical team acting as line manager, mentor and role model

Foster a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Develop succession plans and drive technical capability building.

Leadership & Oversight

Lead technical activities across contract manufacturers (CMOs), and third-party suppliers.

Manage and develop technical procedures to ensure they align with current regulatory requirements.

Act as technical subject matter expert (SME).

Serve as technical lead for technology transfers, reformulation and validation projects.

Work closely with the Quality Project Manager to ensure technical projects are aligned and co-ordinated regionally and globally.

Deliver other business projects as required

Technical Support

Provide expert technical guidance on technical issues related to formulation, packaging, stability, and manufacturing processes and equipment.

Support troubleshooting activities related to product quality and manufacturing issues.

Evaluate and approve technical documentation, including specifications, validation protocols, and change controls.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with CMO's to ensure that Alliance products are appropriately validated and compliant with the latest regulatory guidelines.

Represent the technical department in cross-functional governance meetings and project reviews.

What we are looking for



A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline.

Extensive experience in Technical roles within the pharmaceutical sector (essential) and, consumer healthcare sector (highly desirable),

Deep knowledge of GMP, ICH guidelines, ISO standards, and global regulatory requirements.

Proven track record of leading Technology Transfers, Raw Material Changes, Process Validation and resolving complex technical issues.

Experience working with contract manufacturers or global supply chains would be highly advantageous

Experience acting as a technical SME within Regulatory Inspections or Notified Body audits would be desirable.

CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) experience is advantageous.

Experience with quality management processes such as change control & document management.

Experience of working within a global team would be advantageous.
