Role Overview:

We're seeking a Technical SEO Strategist to lead and deliver enterprise-level Technical SEO strategies that drive sustainable organic growth and strengthen market positioning.

This role is responsible for providing an always-on Technical SEO service, ensuring websites remain technically sound, performant, and search-engine friendly at scale.

You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise, owning proactive site health management, deep technical investigations, and clear stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Always-on Technical SEO delivery

Own and deliver an always-on Technical SEO service across some of the UK's biggest brands and websites. Perform daily technical hygiene checks to monitor site health, crawlability, indexation, performance, and structured data. Proactively identify risks, regressions, and opportunities before they impact organic performance.

Auditing & investigations

Conduct vertical audits across priority site areas (e.g. indexation, pagespeed and more). Lead in-depth technical investigations into complex SEO issues, including indexation anomalies, crawl inefficiencies, rendering challenges, and performance bottlenecks. Define clear remediation plans and support implementation with engineering teams.

Reporting & insight

Own monthly Technical SEO reporting, clearly communicating performance, issues, progress against recommendations, and future priorities. Translate technical findings into concise, commercially relevant insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Track and report on KPIs related to site health, crawl efficiency, indexation, and organic visibility.

Required Skills:

Deep understanding of customer behaviour and industry trends. Proficiency in various SEO tools and platforms. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Must be able to attend 2 days in our Chester office per week.

Benefits:

Salary range of 25,000 - 35,000, dependent on experience. Hybrid working - Minimum two days in the Chester office. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with tenure.
