As a Technical Service Engineer, the role holder will be required to work independently (with support from other regional technical service engineers) as the key point of contact providing technical expertise and advice to customers across the region within the Syngas business. They will apply technical understanding and knowledge of the CT product portfolio to solve a range of problems, from simple troubleshooting to complex projects. They will be the technical face of the CT organisation, both liaising with customers remotely and travelling to meet with regional customers in person.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide technical service to customers through direct customer support. Build and maintain effective partnerships with customers in an ethical and safe manner
  • Act as the voice of the customer to feed technical and market information back into the business to enable JM to enhance product offering
  • Engage in customer visits including technical meetings and plant audits
  • Handle technical support issues related to the plant and catalyst both proactively and in response to \xe2\x80\x9cemergencies" aimed at delivering long-term value for JM and the customer
  • Liaise with the wider Technical Service team (Service Coordination, TS-SME team) and Sales colleagues to ensure that work requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Actively look to build proficiency beyond own core technology within CT technical scope
  • Extract maximum value from the segmented customer base through developing and deploying the appropriate level of technical services
  • Carry out other duties which are within the employee\xe2\x80\x99s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Requirements for the role:
  • Degree in a scientific/technical discipline
  • Background in catalysts, absorbents, chemicals and/or additives
  • Strong understanding of customers\xe2\x80\x99 business and production process
  • Ability to drive change
  • Guiding commercial opportunities
  • Capable of working independently to deliver business critical objectives
