Location: UK / Netherlands ... Candidates must live in either the UK or the Netherlands, work from home, and travel as business requirements dictate.

Description Summary



Responsible for technical and engineering direction and support to the global EXSIF teams and its customers

Overview



Provide technical and engineering direction and support for the field and customers. Identify and manage special projects focusing on technical developments, modifications and customer related new build requirements Write policies and procedures ensuring the EXSIF's global tank fleet is maintained, repaired and tested in line with industry and EXSIF standards.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities



Implement new procedures focused on identifying cost reductions and streamlining processes from all suppliers. Working closely with the manufacturers, manage the new build program and ensure tanks meet the required specifications and quality criteria. Establish and implement Key Performance plans with tank manufacturers and maintain the same through regular audits and surveys. Investigate improved alternative methods for reducing repair costs through design improvements. Responsible for evaluating and recommending re-manufacturing and upgrade modification programs that utilize otherwise obsolete equipment. Establish, communicate and administer technical policy, procedures and guidelines, developing standards where applicable Provide engineering and technical support to the regional teams as directed by the Engineering Manager. Responsible for providing guidance related to the Tank Testing requirements and the overall depot/customers testing process. Recommend suitable tank designs to meet customer-specific tank needs and EXSIF's ongoing requirements for exploiting the specials market. Responsible for handling manufacturing warranty claims and recommending appropriate solutions. Carry out root cause analysis and record technical issues in a case management system for future retrieval, knowledge sharing and quality control Ensure that company technical policies and procedures as well as industry standards are correctly documented and applied, as appropriate. Create training modules on all aspects of tanks design, specifications and usage for EXSIF personnel Keep abreast of engineering and regulatory developments within the tank container industry

Qualifications and Experience



Mechanical Engineering degree Knowledge of pressure vessel design construction and fabrication techniques Production Audits Six years of technical-related industry experience Chemical industry experience Technical sales experience Root cause analysis

Skills and Abilities Required



Excellent oral and written communication skills, must be comfortable with writing technical reports Ability to effectively manage projects Strong innovation skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and effective working relationships with suppliers and customers Good negotiating skills Ability and willingness to travel Computer literate and significant analytical skills Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical standards and detailed tank specifications

Pay Range:


61,200.00 - 74,800.00
