About the Role:

WPS is seeking an experienced and driven Technical Services Manager to lead our operations team in delivering excellence for a high-profile Blue Light client in Hampshire. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of hard M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) services, compliance, and minor projects across a portfolio of emergency services properties. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact supporting critical public sector infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of supervisors and engineers delivering M&E services, statutory compliance, and project works. Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Manage the supply chain, negotiate best value, and ensure all contractors meet Wates and client standards. Prepare and present management information (MI) reports at regular client meetings, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met. Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders, consultants, and supply partners. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and robust succession planning within your team. Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety legislation and Wates' policies. Support the delivery of extra works and minor projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget control.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar technical/FM management role, ideally within a Blue Light or critical environment. Strong technical background with a relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Good working knowledge of statutory compliance, H&S legislation, and CAFM/PPM systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Security clearance or willingness to undergo vetting for Blue Light contracts.
