Job Description


A Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is responsible for leading the centralised Microsoft Dynamics, Power Apps and automation service; to develop, implement and maintain the provision of process automation and low-code solutions across the Bank. This role has a significant level of stakeholder engagement requirements, both internal and external and both technical and non-technical.

  • Lead a centralised service providing Dynamics, Power Apps and Automation expertise to all UKIB business areas, so that the Bank optimises its investment in the toolset and solutions are delivered in accordance with industry best practice.
  • Lead the end to end workflow strategy, design and build, including integration with other Microsoft services and other 3rd party solutions, to ensure we deliver the strategic objectives of the Bank.
  • Responsible for creating and managing a catalogue of automation assets, their usage and high quality technical and architectural documentation, to avoid duplication of automations and provide a robust automation capability.
  • Provide a Dynamics, Power Apps and Power Automate SME escalation and decision point for Operational and Change delivery teams ensuring risks, issues and decisions are fully evaluated, captured and addressed.
  • Be the primary liaison between business stakeholders and change delivery team(s) to effectively answer and resolve Dynamics, Power Apps and automation queries.
  • Lead the IT team and federated resource to support the development of low-code and automation capabilities across business area(s) through knowledge sharing, technical assurance, and adoption of best practice, so that solutions are delivered in a consistent manner.
  • Partner directly with the Banks Senior Leaders, PMO and IT teams to ensure adopted solutions align to support the delivery of strategic roadmaps and technical principles.
  • Provide low-code and automation SME representation at design assurance and technical authority bodies to ensure design groups are considering automation in all scenarios therefore avoiding unnecessary manual processes and additional costs.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to identify potential solutions and prepare proposals for modified or replacement processes and systems to ensure the Bank utilising the most effective technologies available at the appropriate cost.

Technical

Essential
  • Expert level Microsoft Dynamics and Power platform development experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to translate operational requirements into robust process-oriented solutions
  • Excellent problem problem-solving skills and ability to articulate solutions in a business context.
  • Experience of using modelling tools such as EA Sparx, BizzDesign, ErWin to capture business capabilities, processes, technology components and data structures.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and technical resources to assist them in delivering business outcomes.
  • Ability to analyse technical, operational and resource requirements and build out development plans accordingly
  • Experience of structured change delivery skills and techniques
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent service with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and guide developers and business users in automation techniques and technologies.
  • Ability to provide strategic, scalable solutions to meet business requirements.
Desirable
  • Ms Dynamics and Power Platform accreditations.
  • Any knowledge of Workday configuration
  • Experience of developing and maintaining strong 3rd party, vendor, and partner relationships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business processes associated with financial services organisations.
  • Understanding of broader Change Management principles, practices, and methodologies.
