Tom Parker Creamery is a producer of high quality flavoured milks and cream, using premium ingredients and sustainable packaging.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Supervisor to join our dairy company. As a Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating technical operations within our dairy production facility. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with quality standards, optimizing production processes, and maintaining equipment functionality to uphold efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to production schedules. Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and maximize efficiency. Implement measures to minimize downtime and resolve production issues promptly.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify product quality and safety. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Equipment Maintenance:

Coordinate maintenance activities for production equipment and machinery. Schedule preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs as needed.

Team Leadership:

Provide guidance and direction to production staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members. Conduct training sessions to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of production staff.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures. Prepare reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and compliance status for management review. Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct safety inspections and promote awareness of safety best practices among production staff. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards relevant to dairy production operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in dairy production or food manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. In-depth knowledge of food processing technologies, equipment, and quality assurance principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and production management software. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for food safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
