Technical Systems Technologist

Your Mission

Reporting to the Technical manager, the successful candidate will help us maintain our excellent food safety standards in our busy food production environment. This role requires a proactive, collaborative approach, attention to detail and a deep understanding of food safety in a manufacturing environment.

What you will do

Maintain and monitor supplier and raw material approval systems. Assist with supplier audits and manage supplier documentation. Support internal audits (BRC, GMP, CCP, Hygiene, etc.). Help complete and review product specifications and quality standards. Monitor supply chain risks and conduct horizon scanning. Manage traceability schedules and customer documentation. Support technical management during audits and customer visits. Collaborate with departments like NPD and Purchasing.

What we expect from you



The ideal candidate would have:
Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or related field. 5+ years in food manufacturing or produce processing. Knowledge of BRC, HACCP, food safety, and food legislation. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word/Excel). Excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience with technical specifications and audit support. Training in HACCP, TACCP/VACCP, and auditing is a plus.
