Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers.

We are currently seeking to recruit a

Technical Training Designer

to join our expanding team at Bentley.

Your main duties will be to design and develop a high standard of technical training course material for Bentley Cars, as well as carrying out Technical Training in a supportive capacity and independently, as and when required.

Role Responsibilities:



Design and create all course materials and training aids/resources, including e-learning, virtual classroom, bitesize learning, and Face to Face courses

Monitor and evaluate training courses to ensure they are current and effective

Map out lesson content to achieve the desired learning outcomes and assessment criteria to Bentley standards

Produce all written content in line with production schedules, agreed deadlines, and Bentley standards

Gather and consider delegate and Trainer course feedback to improve the quality and effectiveness of training

Gather and consider delegate and Trainer course feedback to improve learner experience.

Receive Group courses and adapt to Bentley Requirements

Support Trainers and offer guidance and solutions to problems as they arise

Undertake other duties as reasonably expected

Rise or Storyline - Essential

Photoshop - Desirable

Replay 360 editing software in Articulate - Essential

InDesign - Essential

PowerPoint - Essential

Animation - Desirable

Level 3 or equivalent Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (Essential)

Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Experience and/or Professional Qualification (Highly Desirable)

Existing Technical Training and/or Coaching experience, and linked qualification (Essential)

Recent Technical Course Development experience, ideally gained in a manufacturer training environment (Desirable)

Bentley workshop experience (Desirable)

Strong command of written English and an ability to present information concisely and effectively (Essential)

Ability to communicate across different stakeholder groups, including managers, curriculum leaders, tutors and learners (Essential)

Confidence to work independently and fit into a highly collaborative process (Essential)

Experience of operating within external and internal quality assurance procedures (Essential)

Highly organised working style, with strong attention to detail and an ability to work within time-sensitive schedules (Essential)

Understanding on designing for a global audience and how well content will translate

Salary & Benefits:

Contract:

Permanent / Full Time

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week

Place of Work:

Your place of work will be a hybrid role, working from home and Bentley in Crewe. The requirement to go into the office will be based on business needs, with an expectation of a minimum of 1 day per week (possibly more frequently in first few weeks). There will also be times where there may be the opportunity to work from alternative locations such as Calex offices, retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role.

Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with all successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
