Job Vacancy for Geotechnical Technician

Our Devon based office near Exeter are currently looking for a Geo-technician to join the team. We are looking for someone who can support our operations and who will have a practical approach to assist in the smooth running of our site works.

The role involves:

a. Assisting with the setting up and dismantling of sites and secure compounds
b. Monitoring soakaway testing on site
c. Carry out in-situ testing including plate bearing and CBR tests on site
d. Undertake gas and groundwater monitoring on site
e. Site walk-over surveys
f. Operation of site equipment including the potential to use a small drilling rig with training and towing of a trailer.

g. Maintaining and sharing accurate records and logs to support the Engineering team

h. Maintaining company equipment, undertaking various maintenance jobs around the office, and basic mechanical support to vehicles and equipment as needed.

i. Undertake any other duties that may be required

The role involves travel and overnight stays. (Driving License is essential and experience of towing is desirable)
