Job Details
We are currently recruiting for a Technician (Bus Networks & Stations) within the Council's Passenger Transport Unit. In this role, you will support the Lead Consultant (Bus Networks & Stations) in developing the public transport bus network, providing technical and operational input into the design and monitoring of local bus services. You will also act as a key point of contact and co-ordinator for roadworks and road closures that impact public transport.
We are looking for someone with experience in public transport, which includes reading and interpreting bus registrations and timetables, along with a good working knowledge of the bus network in Fife and the bus industry. Strong IT skills, with the ability to use a range of computer packages, are essential to ensure the effective delivery of public transport information across Fife.

You will have relevant experience in a public transport environment.
You will be enthusiastic and a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude to customer care.
They should have a good working knowledge of the bus network in Fife.
Individual should possess good communication skills and be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
A positive attitude to customer care and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
Attention to detail, persuasion and listening skills.
Ability to travel within Fife and the surrounding areas.
