Technician

Temporary to Permanent and / or Permanent Position (Based on Experience)

Basic Annual Salary: 39,000 (based on a 35-hour week).

Annual On Target Earnings: 55,000 (inclusive of average overtime).

Shift Patterns

are fluid due to workloads and 48-hour notice of work, you could work weekends and or weekdays, so you will need to be flexible.

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled professional, responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks and commercial vehicles.

You will work with various components like diesel engines, electrical systems, and transmissions to ensure optimal performance and safety.

This role involves utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, following safety guidelines, and collaborating with other team members.

This is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Repair:

Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.

Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of components.

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety and maintenance procedures.

Documentation:

Recording all maintenance and repair work accurately and completely.

Collaboration:

Working effectively with other technicians, service advisors, and parts specialists.

Utilizing Equipment:

Using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.

Adherence to Standards:

Following company engineering standards and procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Mechanical Aptitude:

Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.

Diagnostic Skills:

Ability to diagnose problems using specialized tools and equipment.

Problem-Solving:

Effectively resolving issues and finding solutions to mechanical and electrical problems.

Communication:

Clear communication with team members and customers.

Adaptability:

Ability to manage both scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs.

Safety Awareness:

Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures.

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role, particularly with vehicles, is beneficial.
