We are looking for a fixed term contract Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Services Administration Officer to support our busy Team. The position is part time (22.5 hours) and based at Redditch Town Hall. Days are negotiable but must include working Fridays.


As a Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Services Administration Officer you will deal with a range of enquires and requests regarding NEW Lifeline service. NEW Lifeline supports vulnerable people to remain living independently at home through a range of equipment installed into the home. https://www.redditchbc.gov.uk/residents/living/support-at-home/new-lifeline/


You will respond to and make a variety of calls over the telephone and speak to customers in reception. You will be required to talk to potential and existing Clients and their families on a daily basis; promote the service and collect and record personal details. You will also maintain stock records, prepare equipment, create and update records on various Council Systems, raise invoices and complete a variety of administration tasks.


The post requires an enthusiastic candidate who has the desire to learn. You must be customer focused and looking for a varied and challenging administrative position. Experience in a customer service role and/or experience of working with elderly and vulnerable people is desirable but not essential. Candidates are not expected to have knowledge of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Services as full training will be given.

We expect all staff to share our core safeguarding values of respect, and you will also be required to complete mandatory safeguarding training.

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
