The Technology Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all technological solutions, software, and systems meet Ocean Infinity's rigorous quality and performance standards. Working within the Technology QA team, this role plays a critical part in designing and executing testing processes that validate system functionality, reliability, and compliance with technical requirements. The role requires collaboration across teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects and technologies aligned with Ocean Infinity's strategic goals.
What will you do:Develop and execute detailed test plans, test scripts, and procedures for system and software testing. Perform functional, performance, integration, and regression testing across multiple platforms; Assist in building up new test areas and platforms for different types of equipment. Identify, document, and track defects using established QA tools and systems; Work closely with development teams, engineers, and project stakeholders to define and refine testing requirements; Collaborate with the Lead Technology Test Engineer to ensure alignment with organizational QA strategies; Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on testing timelines and resource requirements; Identify opportunities for enhancing QA processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness; Contribute to the development of automated testing tools and frameworks where applicable; Monitor and evaluate testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to maintain best practices; Ensure that testing processes comply with industry standards, company policies, and client requirements; Prepare detailed testing reports and provide insights on system readiness for deployment; Ensure consistent documentation and maintenance of test cases and test data.

Who you are:A degree or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering; 2+ years in hands on training & testing experience; Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; Knowledge of engineering processes and materials; In-depth knowledge of CAD (e.g. Solidworks & AutoCAD); Excellent communication and teamwork skills; Experience in a similar role is preferred; Experience in engineering best practices; Open and receptive to new and different ideas; Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work; Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious; Interested in others and strives to act in the best interests of the team.

Desirable:Experience with big equipment and machinery e.g. Offshore equipment, Winches; Can read Schematics, Engineering & Electrical; Writing documentation and procedures for testing or training; High voltage trained or aware; Forklift licence; Working at height trained; ROV, AUV, Geotechnical experience; Hydraulics experience or some knowledge of. Has been in the Off-shore environment. Auto CAD, Engineering and Electrical.

Salary: Up to 47,000 PA
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
