What kind of work will I do?

Engineering

You will be joining one of our client-facing teams making a big impact to clients across all industries:

Platform Development & Integration (PD&I)

- We help our clients to realise the potential of the cloud by designing and implementing enterprise-grade cloud platforms and applications for the UK's most prominent companies. The opportunities to pursue your developer career within PD&I are vast, to give you a flavour of the kind of things our teams do on a daily basis: We pride ourselves on the quality of our people and offer unique opportunities to learn, grow and lead in areas such as infrastructure-as-code, DevOps, container orchestration, CI/CD and microservice platforms. We are passionate and excited about using technologies and solving complex engineering challenges along the way. Our teams develop and gain expertise together to deliver impact across back end and front-end solutions. We bridge the gap between existing systems and cutting-edge cloud platforms. Our expertise extends to designing and implementing robust APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures, ensuring seamless integration and enabling the rapid development and deployment of scalable, cloud-native applications.

What's

in it for me?

As a BrightStart joining Technology & Transformation you will:

Be supported from your first day by our dedicated Technology & Transformation Early Experience team along with Early Talent senior sponsors from your team. You will attend our amazing Analyst Induction Programme (AIP) alongside your Technology & Transformation Analyst peer group to learn about our company, culture and how we work - and to build your network here at Deloitte. You'll get an opportunity to practice the key skills you'll need on client projects. AIP is initially a week-long in-person event which includes engaging talks, group activities and immersive simulation challenges. You'll meet many team members from your business area, including your People Leader and Resource Manager, and make a few friends along the way. Following the first week of AIP with your T&T colleagues, you will continue to be set up for success for your future career through Engineering specific training. This will take place for a few more weeks - all exciting and very relevant to your future client/project engagements. You will have the opportunity to network with colleagues at all levels of seniority and have access to lunch and learns, mentors and more!
Upon being offered a role, you will be assigned a buddy who has been in your position, and they will be your informal point of contact for any queries, and to offer insight and guidance ahead of joining.

How will I develop?

Engineering

Working within high-performing teams, you'll get the opportunity to develop alongside our exceptional colleagues, with on-the-job experience. Alongside this, you'll have a multitude of avenues for personal and professional development, including:

EAID & Engineering Analyst training - Sessions are delivered by our early talent training team across a range of foundational topics. Learning Pathways - Opportunity to drive your own career, with training courses run by Deloitte subject matter experts available on a variety of topics throughout the year. A broad range of expertise across engineering from technical ability to delivery know-how means our new joiners learn consulting skills from across the spectrum. Certifications - Depending on business demand and your personal goals, you will have the option to undertake technical certifications (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform certification).

Our commitment to you

Making an impact is more than just what we do: it's why we're here. We work hard to create an environment where you can experience a purpose you believe in, the freedom to be you, and the capacity to go further than ever before.

We want you. The true you. Your own strengths, perspective and personality. So, we're nurturing a culture where everyone belongs, feels supported and heard, and is empowered to make a valuable, personal contribution. You can be sure we'll take your wellbeing seriously, too. Because it's only when you're comfortable and at your best that you can make the kind of impact you, and we, live for.

Your expertise is our capability, so we'll make sure it never stops growing. Whether it's from the complex work you do, or the people you collaborate with, you'll learn every day.
