Technology & Transformation Project Manager

to come and join our team at

Ibstock Head Office, LE67 6HS



Job Purpose:



Shared role across the Tech and Transformation Teams to manage larger projects across both areas, for which there is often synergy. This role requires a structured approach to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting strategic business objectives and stakeholder expectations. You will act as a strategic enabler, aligning people, plans, and priorities to keep technology and business improvement initiatives focused and on track Bring structure and discipline to project delivery, ensuring progress is visible, risks are managed, dependencies are understood, and stakeholders are engaged Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid) as appropriate. Drive continuous project improvement by capturing lessons learned and ensuring realised benefits are measured and communicated.

Key Accountabilities:



Own and coordinate delivery governance

ensuring oversight of in-year initiatives and alignment to Ibstock's strategic goals.

Lead the technology prioritisation process

,

partnering with Tech LT and business stakeholders to prioritise business cases and provide expected lead-time to delivery.

Promote clarity, discipline and structure

in the way initiatives are planned, documented and executed, promoting delivery confidence and stakeholder trust.

Track and report progress against the annual business strategy plans

within technology and transformation space.

Build the case for change,

identifying and quantifying the business value of proposed initiatives. Support development of business cases, including resource planning, cost-benefit analysis, and clear rationale for investment. Provide evidence and data to substantiate formal submissions.

Support the selection of external partners

and then management of to ensure all project deliverables are met and risk are escalated in a timely manner to allow mitigation.

Support proactive stakeholder engagement

,

ensuring delivery progress, risks and priorities are communicated clearly, consistently, and in alignment with business expectations.

Ensure transition plans are in place t

o move from project to operational steady-state and track achievement of business case commitments

Support training, communication, and stakeholder engagement plans.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:



Essential:



Strong project management skills with a structured, delivery-focused mindset. Experience delivering mid-sized to large technology projects. Experience working within or closely alongside a technology team. Strong understanding of both business operations and technology domains. Experience in coordinating and supporting delivery roadmaps and cross-functional workstreams. Excellent facilitation and prioritisation capabilities. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels of the organisation. Ability to operate at pace while maintaining structure, clarity, and focus on outcomes. Skilled in bringing consistency and governance to complex, fast-moving environments. Able to provide confident and credible recommendations to senior leadership. Comfortable operating both tactically and with a broad view of business priorities. Skilled negotiator who can manage conflict through to resolution.

Desirable:



Experience managing or contributing to complex, multi-year business plan / roadmaps Familiarity with JD Edwards / ERP systems. Familiarity with Power BI/Databricks. Familiarity with Jira.
