The role involves responsibility for telecoms infrastructure, fibre optic networks, CCTV, and critical control systems, ensuring high reliability and operational safety across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support all site telecommunication and LAN infrastructure.
Install, splice, and test fibre optic and copper cabling systems.
Provide 1st and 2nd line support for telephone, radio, and comms faults.
Manage process network links, including SCADA, telemetry, and microwave systems.
Maintain and repair CCTV, security, and intercom systems across all sites.
Support fire and alarm communication circuits, ensuring reliable signals to SCR.
Deliver and maintain site-wide Wi-Fi, ADSL, and business network connectivity.
Participate in 24-hour call-out rota for telecoms, fibre, and CCTV incidents.
Perform PAT testing, maintain inspection and stock records.
Conduct annual inspections of ATEX-rated communication equipment.
Host and coordinate third-party vendors (BT, C&W, ADT, etc.) on site.
Support installation and maintenance during shutdown and project work.
Ensure compliance with site safety, quality, and engineering standards.
Troubleshoot and repair VC, access control, and paging systems.
Provide reliable communication infrastructure for both business and process operations.
