Forte Engineering is the UK's trusted partner for electrical, mechanical, telecoms, and design & construction engineering. We deliver multi-disciplinary projects across the UK Rail Network, collaborating with Tier 1 contractors and supply chain partners.

We are seeking an experienced Telecoms Installer with expertise in CCTV, PA systems, Cat6 cabling, and fibre optic works. We are also interested in hearing from trainee telecoms installers who have a willingness to learn and develop their skills in a thriving industry.

Shift duration:

8 hours

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and commissioning of CCTV, Public Address (PA) systems, and Cat6 cabling Fibre optic installation, including cable pulling, termination, and fusion splicing Testing and fault-finding of copper and fibre systems. Working from technical design drawings, wiring diagrams, and site plans. Ensuring compliance with all safety standards, company procedures, and health & safety regulations. Collaborating with engineers, site supervisors, and other contractors to deliver works to scope and schedule.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

CSCS or ECS Card A strong willingness to learn and work under direction Demonstrated experience with: - CCTV, PA, and Cat6 installations-Fibre optic cabling and splicing (fusion) Ability to work independently and efficiently in safety-critical environments and on high profile infrastructure projects.

Preferred (but not essential):

First Aid at Work certification Experience on station upgrade or rail telecoms fit-out projects Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification (AC/DCCR) SSSTS or SMSTS Experience with OTDR testing and fibre fault location Strong understanding of structured cabling, containment, and commissioning
