Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Telehandler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers to move materials and equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, you would support our civils operations by lifting and moving heavy loads across various sites, including construction sites and farms.

Responsibilities

Operating the telehandler by accurately manoeuvring the machine, lifting loads and ensuring safe transport of materials - selecting and attaching the appropriate attachments, such as forks, buckets or platforms based on the task. Load assessment by determining the weight and stability of loads to be lifted, ensuring safe handling and which may involve heavy or awkward objects Performing routine checks o the telehandler to ensure it is safe and in good working condition Collaborating with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material handling tasks Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while operating the telehandler Available to work weekends and support in evening for any out of hours work.

Requirements

Industry standard insurance - driving licence UK NPORS and CPCS cards Valid commercial driving licence is essential for operating telehandlers on-site. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment. Previous experience operating excavators is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times. Flexibility to work varied hours based on project needs, including potential overtime during peak periods.

Pay: 18.00-19.00 per hour
