Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Telehandler to join our team in Lancaster. The ideal candidate will operate telehandlers to move, lift, and transport materials on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery operation and safety protocols, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials.

Duties

Operate telehandlers to lift and move materials as required on-site. Load and unload materials from lorries and other vehicles. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with site managers and other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Assist in the operation of excavators when necessary, demonstrating versatility in machinery handling.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence is essential for operating telehandlers on-site. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery. Previous experience operating excavators is a significant advantage. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and supervisors effectively. A commitment to adhering to safety standards and protocols at all times.
