Job Description

Harvey's Brewery is an established brewer, wholesaler and operator of public houses which has traded from Lewes since 1790. Harvey's has a turnover of 24m and brews a variety of styles of beer including Harvey's Best Bitter, Harvey's Old Ale and Harvey's Pilsner. The company also wholesale beer, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks across the south east and operates a fleet of 7 delivery vehicles from a central depot in Lewes. It operates 44 pubs including 10 pubs under direct management, as well as a brewery shop and webshop.

This (part-time) Sales Administrator role is a member of a small team of 4 sales administrators within a finance department of 10, supporting a Sales team of 5. Hours will be 10am to 2pm 4-5 days per week but some flexibility is possible and expected.

Key responsibilities will include:

Answering inbound calls and assisting customers accordingly

Making outbound calls to existing customers (no cold calling)

Updating customer records and contact preferences

Order and credit note processing

Candidate qualifications:

Good telephone manner and keyboard skills

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task

Strong attention to detail

Order/ Data input experience - preferred but not essential

This is an opportunity to join a friendly but fast paced department in a substantial family run business. You will be part of a department which covers a broad range of administrative activities but this role will be mostly dealing with incoming and outbound telephone calls, accurately logging customer orders and resolving customer issues. The role will ultimately require a strong knowledge or our customers and our products but this can be built up over time, as long as you bring a willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for our business.
