We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Telesales Coordinator to contribute in generating & supporting our sales efforts.
The selected candidate will be able to use their own initiative to find and generate new leads and business. They will be responsible for closing sales deals over the phone and maintaining good customer relationships.
The role will involve pro-actively sourcing and finding potential customers, cold calling, diary keeping and assisting our Field Sales & Customer Service Team when required.
They will need to be self-motivated with a great telephone manner and a persuasive personality who can work both on their own and as part of a team.
As with any Telesales role the selected candidate will need to be a great listener and communicator, with superior people skills, going above and beyond wherever possible.
They must be comfortable presenting products over the phone. The goal is to help the company grow by bringing in customers, developing business and adding value to the efforts of our Field Sales Team.
Telesales Coordinator responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
To provide a professional Telesales Service on a daily basis to customers. 60% of the role is managing an existing customer base of around 120 current accounts from retailers and commercial/trade customers. 20% of the role is targeting new customers from an extensive database of opportunities and supporting the field sales team with new customer enquiries. 20% supporting the Field Sales Team.
To ensure all existing customers have a forward call scheduled.
Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about our products.
Aim for a minimum of 30 quality calls each day.
To develop a good understanding of our products and the company capabilities to support the team and your customers.
Develop a good understanding of your customers business and requirements to increase their annual spend and drive them into new sub- categories.
Route prospects to the field sales team when an in-person meeting is needed and adds value.
Maintain all records within our CRM, Toucan Analytics and supporting mandatory reporting.
Take and process orders in an accurate manner.
Provide telephone cover for key customers during periods of absence by the Field Sales Team.
Go the "extra mile" to meet sales targets, support the team and grow the business.
Requirements
Proven experience within a telesales function, ideally product rather than service led, but product training will be given
Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets
Good knowledge of Microsoft Software, along with CRM & ERP exposure.
Strong aptitude for learning product details and conveying them in an engaging, articulate manner
Fluent in English with exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Calm under pressure with the ability to manage rejection constructively
Outstanding negotiation skills
Strong educational background, with GCSE-level qualifications in English and Maths
