We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed apprentice to join our Family Hub.
The postholder will work within the Family Hubs which support children 0-19 (25 for young people with SEND).
Family Hubs support children and young people from conception until they reach the age of 19 (or up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities). They bring council, health and community services together so that families can access the right support at the right time.
Our family hubs will provide a mix of physical and virtual spaces, as well as outreach, where families can easily access non-judgmental support for the challenges they may be facing.
Family hubs will provide a universal 'front door' to families, offering a 'one-stop shop' of family help services across their social care, education, mental health and physical health needs, with a comprehensive offer for parents and babies at its core. The Family Advisor role is a pivotal in supporting the Family Hub teams delivery.
The post holder will receive enquiries from members of the public, professionals (via face to face, electronic and telephone channels) and provide appropriate, consistent advice, signposting and guidance.
A Family Advisor will undertake administrative tasks i.e., booking appointments, data collection and entry and ordering resources. A number of ICT platforms are used on a daily basis to enter data and record transactions within our policies and procedures.
You will need to be qualified at NVQ level 2 or above and have relevant experience in dealing with members of the public who may at times be distressed or anxious and experiencing family difficulties. You will also have regular contact with a range of education, health and social care professionals and so will need the ability to adapt your responses accordingly.
